Keep saving those aluminum cans! Gloria Haines just let me know that she sent 64lbs. of aluminum cans to the recyclers. Another $32.00 going toward Team Shawn! So keep bringing your aluminum cans (and those new aluminum beer bottles also) to Gloria's if you're in the Leesburg, VA area. 827 Bellview Ct. in the Exeter neighborhood! Such a simple thing to do to be "Green" and fight cancer too!!!!!

Team Shawn--Light The Night Walk
Team Shawn joined many, many other teams and individuals to fight blood cancers in the 2010 Leukemia/Lymphoma Society's 5th Annual Light The Night Walk in Reston, VA on October 2, 2010. It was a great evening for a walk to help those with cancer, family of cancer patients, and to remember those who have lost the fight to cancer. Everyone had a great time walking and after is was all done--Pizza! Team Shawn did an awesome job fund raising for the cause. The team has many events for the up coming fund raising year.

Day of Giving--September 29, 2010

Smoothie & Car Wash Success!

Two Weeks To Go & We Still Need to Raise $1500!
We are just $1500.00 short of our $10,000 goal to fight leukemia & lymphoma. How can you help in this short amount of time?
1. Come to The FRIDAY SMOOTHIE NIGHT @ The Tropical Smoothie Cafe here in Leesburg on September 24, 2010 and make a purchase. 15% of sales from 5pm-9pm go to The Team Shawn/Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.
2 . If you have a dirty car, come to the TEAM SHAWN CAR WASH and let Team Shawn wash and shine that vehicle for you. Just takes a few minutes to make your car look clean, and you will feel great by donating to our worthy cause--The Fight Against Cancer!!! Just stop by the Roy Rogers Restaurant On E. Market St. (by Giant) here in Leesburg on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 8am-1pm.
